1 month in the Balkans

The Balkans have endured a turbulent history - from the 'Iron Curtain' preventing tourists from entering the area, and with wars as recent as the 90's. Many still assume that it's not safe to travel because of this, but I experienced some of the most friendly, warm and helpful people in all of Europe.

Climb San Giovanni castle and watch the sunrise over Lake Kotor in Montenegro, leap of the almost-30m bridge in Mostar, see the Acropolis in Greece, walk the set of Game of Thrones in Dubrovnik, marvel at the natural beauty in Slovenia.
