Rome in 48 hours
Rome is a busy, bustling, tourist crazy city, rich with history and famous landmarks.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but you can see the main sights in 2. Start early (and I mean dawn-early) to make the most of the beautiful sights before the hordes of tourists arrive.
Day 1: Put on your comfiest walking shoes and spend today walking the streets, and ticking off all the main sights from the Colosseum, Roman Forum, to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
Day 2 is all about Vatican City. See St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, before spending the afternoon in the Vatican Museum.
